Reid looks over. Everything he wants to say but won’t is clear in his eyes. He nods and I do the same.

“God, you two are such men,” Alana mutters. “It shouldn’t be that hard to say thank you, Reid.”

“He knows,” Reid assures her, making her roll her eyes. “Now, let’s go and see if I’ve lost my kitchen under a cloud of glitter, shall we?”

“Aw, you love it really,” Alana teases.

“He made me walk around with hair clips in yesterday because Daisy thought it was hilarious.”

“Dude,” JD starts, sounding more like his usual self. “It was fucking hilarious. And you totally should have done the unicorn impression she wanted.”

Reid mutters under his breath as he walks out shaking his head.

“We’ll break him. By Christmas, he’ll have been a unicorn at least once.”

“Shit.” JD gasps. “Christmas.”

“What about it?” Alana asks.

“We don’t usually celebrate but Daisy… Thanksgiving too. We’ve already missed Halloween.”

“We’ll give her the most magical holiday season we can, don’t worry,” Alana says, reaching up to brush a kiss on his lips. “I’m totally down for you all dressing up as Santa too, just saying.”

“Doll, you’ve got some pretty epic kinks that we all love, but Santa, really?”

“Oh yeah,” she teases. “You can all bring me really big, really hard gifts that’ll make me scream in joy.”

“Now that,” JD mutters, walking her backward toward the dresser. “We can manage.”

She yelps as he lifts her onto it and spreads her thighs so he can get closer.

“But what about you, Mrs. Claus? Do you have what it takes to empty all our sacks?”

“Aw, dude. Really?” I complain while Alana laughs.

“That wasn’t as sexy as I thought it would be, was it?” he asks, thinking about what he said.

“Not so much, no.”

“We can have a real family Christmas,” Alana says, brushing her hands up his chest. “Mav and I have decorations. We can turn this place into a winter wonderland.”

“Oh, Reid will fucking love that, I’m sure.”

“Why do you think I’m so excited about it?” Alana says a naughty glint in her eye. “He’s hot when he’s mad.”

“If you say so,” JD mutters before claiming her lips.

I stand there watching for a few seconds, but when it becomes clear he’s not letting her go, I back away and close the door, giving them some time.

As much as I might like to join in, he needs her more than me right now. And apparently, I’m needed in the glitter department.

“Primrose Alexandria Bellamy,” Ellis announces in accomplishment, not five minutes after I supplied him with the phone number that’s been calling and messaging me.

Unfortunately, though, that name means fuck all to me.
