My heart turns to putty. "I love you."

"I love you more."

"What are we going to do about Steve?" I finally acknowledge the reason I'm panicking.

Brady blows out a frustrated breath. "Give him space?"

"He cried," I shake my head. "He literally had a meltdown, Brady. In front of Brianna."

"He'll be OK," Brady assures me.

"You think so?"

"No," he chuckles lightly. "I lost you once. I know the pain all too well."

"Where are we going to live?" I jump to another subject. "Sorry, I'm a little scatterbrained tonight."

"It's OK," Brady kisses me. "We've been through a lot today."

"Should I rent that house up the street?" I search his eyes.

"What if we...what if we live in my house?"

"With your mom?" I raise my eyebrows. "What if Brianna and my presence confuse her more?"

"My mom won't be an issue, Iz. If we need to, we'll move her to a facility that will take excellent care of her."

"No," I bite my lip. "I don't want that."

"My mom is in her own wing of the house," Brady explains. "We'll have plenty of room and space."

"I've never seen your house."

Brady sits up. "Let's go look at it."

"Right now?" my eyes widen.

"Right now," he tugs the covers off me.

"But...Brianna's asleep in the next room," I remind him. "And I'd want her to see it, too. She has to feel comfortable wherever we are."

"She does," he agrees. "If it's here, then it's here. If it's in the house up the street, then we'll rent it."

"Ugh," I cover my face with my hands. "Why is this so complicated?"

"Because you're thinking about everyone else," Brady answers gently. "What do you want, Iz?"

"I'm a mom," I roll my eyes. "I don't have the luxury of only thinking about myself."

Brady climbs on top of me and kisses me again. "I'll think about you then. What do you want, Iz?"

"I want you to make love to me right now," I hide a smile.

"I can do that," he pushes my thighs apart with his knee. "And Iz, it'll all work out. We have all the time in the world to figure out where to live and which dreams to chase."

I lift my hips, begging him to take me. "That's a relief."

I haven't slowed down in years. I've been living in survival mode.
