"For sponsor talks?" I asked, my mind still in slow motion.

"For this one," she said. "And everything you think you know about sponsors? Throw it out the window. You want to talk big names? Yeah. Makeup, Cody. Get moving."

Then she hung up on me. I sat up and dropped my phone in my lap. "Guys?"

"Fuck you," J.D. grumbled.

"I have to meet a sponsor in an hour. They want both of you as well?"

"Me?" Tanner asked. "In case you missed it, I'm the sidelined bullfighter hanging out with his hot bull rider lovers."

"And I'm confused, but we have an hour. Grace said jeans and tees."

"Shower," J.D. muttered, throwing off the blankets to head towards the bathroom.

Yep, we were a mess, but fifty-five minutes later, the three of us were headed down the elevator. Dad was already there, and when we stepped off, he was talking to Grace and Max. The best part, however, was the cherubic smile on Max's face when he saw me.

"Cody!" he said. "This way. I got us a conference room."

"Uh-huh..." I was still so lost. "Coffee?"

"I'll order some," Grace assured me.

But the room Max took us to wasn't the largest or the fanciest. Instead, it was a relatively small space. There were four chairs on either side of a long table. Over in the corner were a few more, but like the ones in the lobby.

Max gestured for me to take the spot in the middle, facing the door. He sat beside me, with J.D. on my other side. Tanner got the last chair, so Grace and Dad took the two set back in the corner. We'd barely gotten comfortable when a man pushing a trolly came into the room. He placed coffee cups in front of all of us, a tray of creamer and sugar packets in the middle, then three carafes of coffee beside them.

"Thank you," Grace said as he turned to leave.

We all focused on making coffee. I had questions, a shit-ton of them, but my headache was persisting, and the caffeine was necessary. Still, Max's little smirk made me think there was a story here I needed to know.

"Ok, what's going on?" I demanded.

"A miracle," Max said.

"I'm gonna need a little more," I told him.

"Well - " He stopped as the door opened again, but this time it wasn't the hotel staff who walked in.

First came a woman. She was tall, lean, and wearing all black. From her cute little goth-looking dress down to her fishnets and combat boots, everything was black. Even her lipstick! She actually reminded me a bit of Hannah.

Behind her came a man who might be bigger than Anthony. He was huge, blonde, and built like a Mack truck. After him was an extremely handsome redhead who looked like he should've been a model. One by one, they claimed a place across from us. The woman went in the middle. The redheaded man was on Max's side. The brute of a blonde was across from J.D.

"Good afternoon," the woman said. Her voice was rich and husky. The kind of deep that made women sound sensual. "My name is Rhaven Moore. This is my partner, Braden Mathis," she gestured to the blonde, "and Chance Hunter, the owner of Deviant Games."

"Ok?" I asked.

Which made Chance, the redhead, chuckle. "I'm going to guess you don't play video games, hm?"

"No, sir," I admitted. "Sadly, I've been spending a lot of time riding bulls and driving from place to place so I can keep riding bulls."

"I see." He looked at my companions. "Do any of you?"

"Same as her," J.D. said.

"I play a bit of Fortnite," Tanner admitted. "Sometimes I play Eternal Combat."

Which made the woman chuckle. "And that's one of our games." Her darkly painted and heavily lined eyes shifted over to me. "Cody Jennings, right?"
