And there’s the cue that has my stomach filled with butterflies. My man is frickin’ sex on a stick, and I wouldn’t change a thing about him.

He carries me into the clubhouse and stops inside the door. My hands fly to my mouth in shock and I feel him gently lowering me down to the ground.

There’s a banner hanging over the bar that says ‘Welcome Home Mae & Timber’. Streamers decorate the main room, but my attention is glued to the two people under that banner.

Peggy and Glen.

Peggy opens her arms, and I don’t even hesitate. I run to her and she wraps me in a hug. Seconds later, I feel Glen’s arms wrap around us.

Tears prick at my eyes, but I make no move to wipe them away. I just hope my waterproof mascara does its job and doesn’t run or turn into raccoon eyes.

They pull back after a few moments, and I finally wipe my eyes.

“I didn’t think I’d see you two until tomorrow.”

They both chuckle.

“Well, your aunts, sister, brother, nephew and cousin were very convincing,” Peggy says with a wink that has me laughing.

Oh, yes. They definitely can be.

I’ve talked with all of them multiple times this past week, as well as texting. We even have a group chat with all of us women in it. There is also a more secret thread that’s just Levi, Sasha, and me in it. Same as one for just Levi and I since we’re the only two Old Lady’s right now. Those two are for if we need to discuss something club related that’s also text safe. Or at least vague as heck.

It’s how I knew that even though Levi’s wedding is tomorrow, we’re still on lockdown. Thankfully, the guys haven’t limited the guest list, but since everyone outside the club are either friends or coworkers, they know a little about club life. That’s also why it didn’t take much to get pictures of the few people that the club members didn’t know, including the caterers, and every club member was ordered to memorize faces and names. Even the Prospects, me, Nikki, and Susie. That way, if someone sneaks in, it’ll be easier to spot them.

That’s the hope anyway.

Turning, I spot Timber talking to Dad, and I wave them both over.

“Peggy, Glen, I’d like you to meet my dad, Smoke, and my Old Man, Timber.”

Like I suspected, Peggy rushes forward, hugging both of them. A giggle escapes when she pulls them both down and kisses their cheeks, leaving a pink lipstick stain.

“Thank you, Timber, for protecting our girl,” Glen says and they both do that shoulder clap and handshake thing men do.

He turns to Dad and cocks an eyebrow at him. “I don’t know all the details except that you were lied to, but I hope that you’ll be the dad she needs going forward.”

Dad’s gaze flicks to me and he smiles as he pulls me into his side, wrapping an arm around my shoulder. “I plan to,” he says as he kisses my forehead.

Glen steps closer and motions for Timber to do the same. “The others already know, but on our way here, I swore I saw Preston and Bruce driving a black SUV around town. Thor said I could tell you guys and he, Dragon, and Phoenix were going to tell the rest of the people that drove over with you.”

I freeze and can’t help the shiver that runs through me.

Dad leans in close to my ear and whispers to me. “You need to relax and act like you don’t know about them. They’re most likely watching us, which is why Thor is having everyone being informed like this. It’s how we do things. It also means that Glen and Peggy have proven to Thor that he can trust them as well.”

Nodding, I force my body to relax and smile as I watch him and Timber chatting with Peggy and Glen as they all get to know each other.

We’re relaxing in the main room when Sasha gestures for me to join the others in the kitchen.

Turning to Timber, I give him a quick kiss. “I’m going to go help the ladies with supper.”

He squeezes my hip and gives me another toe-curling kiss that has me wanting more, but I know we can’t right now. He releases me and I head toward the kitchen.

I force myself not to scowl when I see two people I really didn’t want to see. I know that even though Thor deemed this a family night; the bunnies are still out, just dressed in normal clothes. Something that I can instantly tell that Gigi and Crystal absolutely hate.

As soon as Gigi sees me, she glares at me and I can’t help but crack my knuckles in response. If she tries anything with me or Timber, she’ll be paying for it. One way or another.

Rounding the corner to the kitchen, I grin when I see Mama Astrid, Sasha, Nikki, Susie, and Levi all in here. Though Levi’s sitting on a stool at the large island with a cutting board in front of her.
