“Fine,” Smoke grumbles. “Help me get into my clothes.”

I grab his jeans out from the cupboard and then plop them on the bed before grabbing a backpack that Nikki must have left in here. I had left it with Lex, but he must have somehow got it to Nikki.

“Levi grabbed you some clean clothes, which is good cause those jeans are going to need to be burned.”

Patch starts unhooking Smoke from the monitors and takes out his IV.

“Just know the IV is going back in when we get back to the clubhouse.”

Smoke snorts and then groans. “So that’s why you had to pick up extra shifts.”

“Yeah, cause I sure as fuck am not going out with that bitch. I wish we had a setup like Doc’s.”

That has me pausing. “I’ll talk to Mae, Thor, and Phoenix. Maybe we can set something up that’s similar.”

“How the fuck is she going to... oh... never mind,” Patch says as he nods his head.

This time it’s me that snorts. As soon as there was a bit of downtime, Mae sat down with Thor and Phoenix and asked if they needed anything for the club. They hadn’t wanted to take her offer for money at the time, but they may change their minds after this.

It takes some maneuvering, but we get Smoke dressed and I pull his cut out of Mae’s backpack.

“She wasn’t able to give it a good cleaning since we rushed straight here, but she did get most of the blood off. Wasn’t sure if you wanted me to put in an order for another one or not. Mae’s cut just has a graze mark on hers. Though who knows what these fuckers have done to it now.”

He takes his cut from me and rubs his thumb over the leather, his eyes turning glassy a little before he clears his throat. “Order new ones for both of us. I’ll pay for them. I don’t want her seeing the marks on a daily basis and being reminded.”

I start to argue about him paying for them when he cuts me off.

“You just got married, Timber, and even though I don’t want to think about it, you two fuck like rabbits. Since I know neither of you are trying to prevent it, she very well could be pregnant right now. I know our cuts aren’t that expensive, but babies sure as hell are.”

That pulls me up short and I damn near drop Mae’s backpack.

Shit...

“Oh fuck,” Smoke mutters and then Patch swears.

“Has she had her period at all while she was here?” Patch asks and I shake my head.

“No, and now that I think about it, after we talked about kids, she said we’d probably know in a few weeks, since that was when her period was due. That talk happened when we were at Junction Creek. Then she was attacked a couple of days later. I guess with all that was going on around that time, we both forgot.”

“What time is it? We need to get a plan finalized and fast. I don’t know what those fuckers will do if they find out she’s pregnant,” Smoke grits out, his face paling slightly as he tries to put on his shirt.

“Fuck, it’s almost 2 am,” I grunt and then step forward when I see the shirt getting caught on the tape.

Patch leaves and comes back in a minute later with a wheelchair.

“I don’t care how much you complain. Your ass is going in this chair and you are being wheeled out of here. I already texted Levi and they are near the exit with her SUV since that would be the easiest vehicle for you to get in and out of.”

He grumbles, but carefully maneuvers into the chair. I know he’d never say it, but I think he’s grateful to have it right now. Especially if he wants to have the energy to plan things with us.

“Alright,” I say as I pick everything up. “Let’s bust you out of this joint.”

Twenty minutes later, we pull up in front of the clubhouse and quite a few eyebrows raise in shock at seeing Smoke stroll through the door into Church.

“Well, fuck,” Devil starts and Smoke cuts him off.

“Don’t even start with me Devil, but this is my daughter and grandbaby we’re talking about. I’m going to be a part of this and will be on cameras on this side of things.”

“Grandbaby?” Devil asks as his gaze shoots to me along with everyone else’s.
