I nod and head into my room before she can leave, so I’m not stuck in the living room alone with Jake.

Of course, now I have to figure out something else for breakfast. Originally, I was going to cook eggs, bacon, and toast. After the long night, I could use a decent meal, but I don’t want to be near Jake.

I could always grab a breakfast sandwich from the cafe, but I should probably get to class early, so I can start working on my make up work.

Grabbing my English book off my desk, I shove it into my bag before grabbing my phone and key.

I slip my feet into my sparkly sandals and bend down to grab my bag.

My bedroom door flies open and bounces off the wall in a resounding smack.

“Ah!” I yelp in surprise, dropping my phone in keys on my floor.

Looking towards my door, Jake barges into my room like he owns the place.

“What the fuck?” I yell as I stand up and face him.

“Did you tell her?”

I don’t answer his question, even though every cell in my body wants to.

He takes a few steps into my room towards me. “Did you fucking tell Mara?”

My heart pounds in my chest and my breathing becomes ragged as anger builds in my veins.

I can’t fucking believe him. Does he really think it’s okay to barge into my room when the door is closed?

I could have been changing.

If Damien finds out, Jake will be lucky to graduate.

Same goes for Mara. She’s been itching to tell the Dean about the cameras. This would send her over the edge.

Jake stares at me, waiting for an answer.

I shrug.

That was the wrong choice. Jake stomps his way over to me and holds up a large tan envelope.

I roll my eyes and say, “What? More pervy pictures?”

He opens his mouth like he wants to say something but immediately closes it.

Yep, I was spot on, but unlike last time, I’m not scared.

Not of him, his threats, or the possible consequences.

I don’t know how or why I decide to be brave, but intrigue gets the best of me. “Are those the same ones as before, or are those new pictures? If they are new, I could frame a couple.”

His jaw twitches as his teeth clench together. A low growl comes from him and I know I’ve hit a nerve. These aren’t new ones, just the same ones that he threatened me with last week.

He waves the envelope with yet another copy of pictures. “I could bring these to the Dean right now.”

I turn away from him and gather up my phone, keys, and bag. I keep my breathing normal and keep my expression neutral as I finish getting ready.

The more I act unaffected, the more it pisses him off.

I push past him in my bedroom and make my way to the kitchen.
