“We’ll both stay busy and it’ll make the week fly by.” She sat on the edge of the bed and he took her hand.

“What are you going to do today?”

“I’ve already called Sage. She and Ember are meeting me in town for breakfast. Then we’re going to talk to Xander about the cake. After that, we’re having lunch with Aunt Genny to plan the menu for the reception.”

“Sounds like a full day.”

“Tonight, I’ll call my mother and give her the good news.”

“Good luck with that.”

“Are you okay to fend for yourself this morning?”

“I do it most every morning. Go. I’m fine.”

Joey kissed him, then stood and headed for the door. “Will you come see Finn and I tonight?”

“Yes. But I’ll probably eat with the family.”

“Okay. I’ll see you later?”

“Love you.”

She smiled. “I love you, too.”

She left and when J.T. heard the front door close, he laid back down. He was getting married in less than a week. He thought about it for a moment. He was fine with it.

Joey was waiting at the coffee shop with a cup of coffee. When Sage and Ember came through the door with Finn, he ran to her and gave her a hug.

“Hi, sweetheart. Did you have fun last night?”

“It was the best.”

Sage and Ember sat at the table, and Ember smiled at Joey. “So next weekend?”

“I know it’s really fast. But we don’t want to wait. And it’s just going to be family and a couple of friends.”

“Sounds wonderful.”

“Of course it does mean we’ll need you to watch Finn while we’re on our honeymoon.”

“Not a problem.”

Sage took Joey’s hand. “Where are you going?”

“Um…somewhere really exotic. We’re going to spend our honeymoon in the new house.”

Sage shook her head. “You need to insist he take you somewhere.”

“He offered. It was my idea.” She looked at Ember. “You guys did basically the same thing. Although you did travel to Santa Fe.”

Ember nodded. “I highly recommend it.”

Sage cleared her throat. “Okay guys. TMI.”

They ordered breakfast and while they ate, they made plans to go to Billings on Wednesday to find a wedding dress for Joey and something for Finn and J.T. to wear. They talked about her problem with her parents, and Sage and Ember both agreed shewas doing the right thing by inviting them and leaving it up to them whether they attended or not.

After breakfast, they went to the bakery. Sage took a moment to collect herself before they went inside.
