“I sprayed some air freshener in there,” Larkin blurted, fiddling with a pen on his desk, his cheeks once again stained dark blue. “Just… for no reason. To make it smell nice. For Taylor.”

Yeah, no reason my ass. Although, oh god, did that mean Seb and Larkin had just fucked in my new office? Before I’d even got a chance to see it?

I cast the werewolf a suspicious glance as we passed him in the hall, but he just gazed back stoically, revealing nothing. It didn’t look like he’d moved since we passed him on our way in. Maybe Seb wasn’t the one Larkin was being all weird and cagey about. Maybe he’d finally taken the plunge with one of the wrestlers.

My office ended up being just around the corner from Holt’s, down a small corridor I hadn’t noticed before. A lump formed in my throat when I saw the plaque already on the door.

Holt opened the door with a flourish and stepped aside to let me go in first. A huge grin stretched my mouth when I saw my very own neon Goliaths of Wrestling sign opposite the door. The walls were painted the same as Holt’s, with white wood panelling, and there was a solid wood desk to one side with a small seating area tucked in the other corner—an electric blue loveseat, matching armchair and a coffee table.

Framed posters of the wrestlers lined the walls, and a sleek flatscreen monitor sat waiting on the desk, but I noticed that the penholder, phone and inbox tray had all kind of been… shoved to one side haphazardly. I made a mental note to sanitise my desk on my first day.

And find out if there was a lock on the door.

“What do you think?” Holt asked, sounding a little anxious as he wrapped his arms around my middle from behind. “No windows, sorry. Kind of hard to have a nice view in the basement.”

I grinned and rested my hand on his forearm. “I love it. It’s perfect.”

Holt kissed my neck and kept his face pressed there, breathing me in. “I’ll get you a welcome basket for your first day,” he murmured, lips curling slyly against my skin. “If I’m being honest, it’ll mostly be sex stuff. But I’ll throw in a stapler too. And a grapefruit or something.”

Laughing, I turned in the cradle of his arms and kissed him soundly. “Sounds great. I’m really excited.”

“Me too.” He grinned at me, then added, “But first, you’re taking a week off. I might take Gabe’s advice and organise a pool party at the weekend to welcome you, but until then…” He pressed his hips into mine, smile growing salacious. “We’re going back to mine and getting naked.”

My cock twitched, and I knew he felt it, because his eyes flared with heat as his hands slid down to cup my ass.

“I do still have a lot of adrenaline to burn off,” I told him huskily, fiddling with his waistcoat buttons. “I think it’s time to give that cowboy hat another spin.”

Chapter Forty

Good Balls

“Wait, you told everyone they were my balls?”

Holt rolled over on the bed, dislodging his towel and leaving his pert copper butt bare for me to ogle as I lounged beside him.

After getting home, I’d put on the cowboy hat, taken everything else off, and ridden Holt’s dick until the last of my nervous energy had finally burned up. Then we’d showered together before crawling back into bed, still damp in our towels, to take a nap.

His dark hair was all wild and mussed from how it’d dried while we slept, and I was sure mine was sticking up horrendously on one side. Once we’d eventually woken up, I’d finally told Holt what we’d got up to in the HutSec offices while drunk the night before.

“Uh-huh.” I languidly trailed my fingers up and down his thigh. My shoulders rose in a tiny shrug. “Felt like a power move.”

Holt huffed in amusement and rested his cheek on his folded forearms. “I suppose if they come after you for vandalising their office, I can just wield my mighty power as the building’s owner.”

“I didn’t implicate myself,” I told him smugly with a sly smile. “Just you.”

He sighed dramatically. “If I go to jail for exposing my nuts to an office full of people, wait for me.”

“I promise I will,” I assured him in a solemn voice, then teased, “What if they dust the photocopier for prints? Ball prints?”

He peeked up at me with a wicked grin. “They’d never have them on file. I’m a good boy, remember?” he added innocently. “My balls have never been in trouble with the law. Nor has the rest of me.”

Laughing, I shifted lower and turned onto my side to face him, reaching over to tuck a wild strand of hair behind his pointed ear. Holt turned his head to kiss my palm, then settled his cheek back on his arms, gazing at me with quiet contentment.

“I’m really proud of you,” he said after several moments of peaceful silence. “All the things you told me when we met… How unhappy you were there… I’m glad you did this for yourself, Taylor.”
