He was on something good, his words a little slurred, his gait a little slow.

“Thanks, man,” I said, hugging him back.

We stood there, watching the races from the sidelines of The Strip, a place we hadn’t been back to in a long time. The sounds of engines filled the air around me, making me realize how much I missed racing. I was thankful to Tori for throwing me a party in a place I loved and missed, but the sights and sounds made me sad.

I had given it all up for Tori, and it was worth every second. Even though she didn’t ask me to, I would do it over and over again. We had a great life together, and I was happier than I had been my entire life. Still, I yearned for the feeling of flying free on my bike, the feeling of hauling ass to Tybee on the back of a motorcycle, and the engine roaring into the night as I hugged the curves of the road.

I could probably afford a new bike, but somehow it felt wrong.

“Hey, you,” Tori said, coming up to my side and putting her arms around me.

I threw my arm around her shoulders and pulled her in for a kiss.

“It’s time for presents,” she said, smirking at me.

I grinned, pulling her closer and breathing her in. “Is that so? What are you going to give me, baby?”

I couldn’t wait to get her home and unwrap her, taste her, lose myself in her. I had been thinking about it all night. Ever since she stepped out of the bathroom in a pair of tight jeans and a sexy as fuck black crop top. She usually didn’t wear anything that showed her scars from riot night, but when she did, fuck, it was a major turn-on. My woman was a survivor—a fucking warrior who jumped in front of bullets for the people she loved.

She giggled at my side, making my smile grow larger. “Is that all you think about?”

I nodded, leaning down to nibble at her ear. “Always, baby,” I whispered, making her cheeks flush.

She could playfully complain all she wanted, but she loved having sex with me just as much as I loved it with her. I was surprised she hadn’t gotten pregnant yet, considering how many times a day we went at it.

“What if I told you I got you something better?” she asked, running a finger down my chest.

I had taken my shirt off earlier in the night since I knew how much she loved seeing my tattoos and muscles.

“Impossible.”

Nothing was better than being with Tori.

Then a sound roared into the night, louder than the other engines that filled the space around us. I pulled back, my eyes going to the sound, and a gasp slipped from my lips.

Skull pulled up on my bright yellow Ducati, the pink neons blazing all around him and a massive smile on his face.

I looked down at Tori, my eyes wide in shock. “How did you do this?”

My bike. She had gotten my bike back.

“I had Skull contact the guy he sold it to. He gave us hell, but we all worked with him to get it back.”

“Baby, I can’t believe you did this for me.” Tears filled my eyes, but I refused to let them fall in front of everyone.

Tori had given me the world, but getting my bike back was the last thing I expected.

She leaned in and kissed me, cupping my cheeks with her tiny hands.

“You gave up everything for me. You thought I needed you to be a certain kind of man, but that’s not true. I love you just as you are, and you’re all I’ll ever need, Koah. I know how much you love your bike and racing, but I would give anything to make you as happy as you’ve made me.”

I pulled her into me, wrapping my arms around her tightly as the crowd around us cheered.

“I love you so fucking much, baby,” I said, kissing her deep and long.

When I pulled back, she smiled at me, her eyes shining with happiness. “Do you love me enough to give me a ride?”

“Are you sure?”

I never thought Tori would get on the back of a bike again, but knowing she would get on with me because she trusted me enough did something to my heart.

She nodded. “Yes. And you know exactly how I like it.”

I laughed, my heart swelling even bigger. “Got it. Fast and hard it is, baby. Get on.”

I helped her climb onto the back of my bike, loving the look of her ass and how the back seat pushed it out. Pulling Skull in for a hug, I kissed Everly on top of her head before I leaned down and kissed baby Gracie, who was somehow sleeping through the chaos.

Then I climbed on my bike in front of Tori and sighed when she wrapped her arms around me. The night was one of the best nights of my life, but I knew it would only get better once we reached Tybee Island, and I sank to my knee in the sand to ask her to spend the rest of her life with me.
