Iris looked up at me. I could tell she didn’t want to be the one to answer or decide what to do, so I simply smiled and placed my hand over the keys on the counter.

“It’s fine. The room will be fine,” I said, giving her a gentle squeeze.

The girl behind the desk gave me a crooked smile as I grabbed our bags.

As we headed up the elevator to the fifth floor, Iris was quiet. I didn’t want her to be upset. This weekend was one about relaxing, and that was what I’d planned to do. We made our way down the hall to the room, and I inserted the key and opened the door. We both stepped inside and looked around the large room.

“See, it’s not so bad,” I said.

“No, it’s beautiful. It’s just I swear to you I ordered two rooms.”

I chuckled. “I believe you. This sort of stuff happens all the time,” I said, trying to make her feel more at ease.

“It does?” she questioned.

“Sure.” I laughed, not knowing what the hell I was talking about.

“To who?” she questioned.

“Well, it’s never happened to me before, but I am sure someone out there has had something like this happen to them.”

Iris looked at me and rolled her eyes and then laughed, and soon we stood there looking at one another in full-on laughter. “I guess it isn’t the end of the world.”

“Not at all. That bed is big enough for you, me, your boys, and Grace. We will be fine.” I winked.

“So you aren’t mad?

“Mad? God no, this isn’t something to get mad about. I’m actually craving that hot tub I saw down there, so I’m heading down in a few minutes. What about you?”

Iris looked up at me, still a hint of worry in her eyes, and smiled. “I’ll be down. I’m just going to take a few minutes and make sure the boys are okay.”

“Sounds good.”

I lay in the hot water, my head back against the seat, and allowed myself to relax. The soft music that played just added to it. When I opened my eyes, I saw Iris walk in, wrapped in one of the white robes that were in our room. She glanced around and then spotted me. She made her way over to the side of the pool I was in and smiled.

“Okay if I join you?” she asked quietly so not to disturb the other guests in the area.

“Of course.”

She looked around the room cautiously before slipping the robe off her shoulders to expose herself in a purple bikini. I tried not to allow my eyes to wander, but it was damn near impossible. Iris was an attractive woman with a body to match the personality and looks.

Within seconds she slipped into the water, her body hidden from view, which, at the moment, I was glad for. My eyes were glued to her as she leaned back against the seat and closed her eyes. I was harder than a rock just from looking at her, and when she let out a soft moan as she relaxed, it was almost my undoing.

“Relaxing isn’t it,” I said, swallowing hard while trying hard to focus on anything other than the sound of that moan, the look on her face, and my throbbing cock.

“Ohhh, god yes.”

I felt like I’d been transported back to my teen years. This was ridiculous. Who’d have thought I’d be sitting here with my cock as hard as a rock in a hot tub with a half-naked woman who I was friends with? I’d resigned myself to the fact that there would be nothing between us, yet at this moment, I wanted to do nothing but kiss her pouty lips and make her moan exactly like that.

“That’s good,” I said, my voice cracking suddenly.

Iris still sat there with her eyes closed. She hadn’t noticed my voice. I looked up at the roof and counted to ten; I had to distract myself from the thoughts that were floating through my mind.

“I’m going to hit that cold plunge over there,” I said, as the people who’d been sitting in it just left to return to the other hot tub.

“Okay, I’ll be here,” she said, not opening her eyes.
