“I’m serious!” Ellie almost screamed, his ability to make her angry second to none. “Getting high with your bitches isn’t on my agenda.”

My eyes won, and I glanced over at him.

His eyes swirled with amusement, and I realised he got off on pissing Ellie off. His full lips pulled into a smirk as he shrugged.

“I didn’t say anything about bitches.”

“Great, so you’re getting high? My friend is here, Logan. Not everyone wants to get fucking high.”

His eyes skimmed over me for the first time in what felt like forever before he shrugged.

“Not my problem. You brought her here.”

“I am here,” I said, almost regretting it as soon as it was out.

Logan didn’t even flinch, only to shrug his shoulders, emptying the crisp packet into his mouth as crumbs fell onto his thin t-shirt.

“We’ll be back around one or two,” Logan stated, scrunching up the crisp packet loudly.

“AM?!” Ellie yelled, and I shook my head as he walked upstairs. His middle finger raised just for her before the door slammed. “My brother is such a dick!”

He is. He really is.

Chapter Two

JESSICA

“The thing is, I’m experimental. I’ll try anything once, but Jay took it too far. I don’t mind using a strap-on—”

“Jeez, Ellie,” I whined, unable to imagine the scene.

“But to fuck him hard? If he wants that, why not seek out a man?” Ellie continued, throwing her hands up in the air. “I’m not down with that.”

I pulled the duvet up to my chin, stifling my laughter. If Carlisleeverasked me to do that, I’d die laughing.

“It’s just not masculine, is it, to want to be fucked hard up the arse?” Ellie continued as if we were discussing Hollyoaks or something.

“Not at all.” I snorted as she narrowed her eyes at me.

“You’re laughing,” she gasped, cringing. “You said you wouldn’t laugh!”

“It’s more a laugh of disbelief than amusement, if that helps.” I yawned. “I’m going to get a drink, and then I have to sleep.”

I checked my phone for the umpteenth time just in case Carlisle had texted me.

Nothing.

Unease set in my stomach as I climbed out of Ellie’s bed, avoiding her critical gaze.

“Why do you even expect him to text you?”

“Because.”

“That’s not an answer,” she pointed out, shaking her head. “If you go downstairs, be aware my stupid brother and his mates will probably be there. Getting high and genuinely ruining perfectly good oxygen.”

“Shit,” I sighed, glancing at my tartan pyjamas. “Come with me,” I pleaded as Ellie scoffed.

“Not fucking likely. I can’t stand any of his friends except maybe Raff.”
