“No. I don’t.”

A smile slid into place across her lovely lips. “Because you’re afraid I won’t come back?”

“Yes. Exactly that.”

A trill of laughter escaped from her throat. Seth’s heart clenched just hearing her delight.

She reached out to grab each of their hands and said with an earnest squeeze, “Trust me. You don’t have to worry. I don’t want to go back there. The only thing I have pending is a messy storage space. I like it here. I’m ready for a new life.”

“Speaking of a new life,” Garrett said quietly, “what would you say to the idea of starting our stretching plan for your sweet ass tonight?”

Her cheeks pinked immediately. Her expression wasn’t one of fear, it was of desire.

Seth chimed in, “I say it’s a great idea.”

“Okay,” she said simply.

Seth kissed her cheek. “Excellent. Now I know what we’ll be having for our after dinner treat tonight. Can’t wait.”

Garrett signaled to the waiter they were ready to order. Seth spent the rest of their time at the restaurant trying not to wolf his food down because he was so anxious to get home for dessert.

Chapter Fourteen

Jessica entered Old West Town for her first day of work, head held high with confidence, gaze endlessly searching the fascinating buildings along either side of the dusty main street with admiration. She’d gotten up early, as she was excited to get started on her new job in this authentic-looking western town.

Memories of dessert the night before in Seth’s bed skated across her mind once or twice along the way. The butt plug had been interesting, but she’d loved the climaxes accompanying it. She tucked that little tidbit away, grateful they’d also understood her need for more sleep. There’d only been two rounds of sexual decadence last night.

Wild, wicked lovemaking almost non-stop since she entered town was delightful, but now her focus needed to be on her new job.

Seth had to go into the Enclave Inn to supervise some sort of inspection of some water-damaged rooms. Garrett had to go to work, but didn’t have to go into the bank until later. They’d laughed about his “banker’s hours” schedule.

However, this also worked for Jessica as Garrett had agreed to take her through the tunnel on the provided golf carts for the five mile journey to Old West Town. Interestingly enough, they ended up sharing a cart with Hunter Franklin and his wife, Lilianna, who were leaving at the same time they were.

Hunter was the woodcarver in Old West Town. Lilianna worked right across the dusty street from his workshop at the candy store with Victoria.

Jessica tucked that information away and planned to visit them to discuss the possibility of special mints being created for the hotel turn down service once they opened and got up and running.

Garrett said good-bye to her, allowing Hunter and Lilianna to guide her to her destination, the new construction behind the saloon for her first day of work.

Lilianna generously offered to take her to lunch for some home cooked fare at a home-style restaurant in Old West Town. She accepted gratefully, glad to make a new friend, also hoping to possibly meet Victoria.

She hadn’t officially met the candy store owner, however Jessica felt like they had much in common. After admitting, if only to herself, that she’d already fallen hard for both Seth and Garrett, Jessica understood Victoria’s undeniable attraction for the sheriff. Even from that one time at the café beside her motel, Victoria looked at Duke with a longing that was palpable.

Jessica felt like she and Duke were at least friends. If Jessica could help match-make, she would.

Gray greeted her exuberantly. “I’m so glad you showed up. I had a nightmare last night that you were only a figment of my imagination, and I had to do your job as well as my own. Let me tell you, it was not any fun.”

“Not to worry, I’m here to help.” Jessica sobered for a minute. “Also, I wanted to tell you again how grateful I am for his opportunity. I promise I won’t let you down.”

Gray shook his head with an amused expression. “Seriously, I’m the one who’s grateful. I have no doubt you’ll be a star here. Speaking of being overworked,” he laughed again, “I don’t suppose you know of anyone who’d be willing to take on the job as your counterpart at night, do you? Someone as good as you, but willing to work nights? Thoughts?”
