catch her mistake.

“Thank you, Master.” She bit out, but it was soft and without as much venom as before. She came back to walk beside me as we walked into the kitchen together. I took out a few eggs, deciding that scrambled eggs and toast would work just fine. I almost dropped the eggs.

“Please. Let me do it.” She said.

I gave her an odd look, briefly weighing my options before nodding. I sat down in a chair at the table, watching as she took out the eggs. When she couldn’t find the salt and pepper, I pointed her towards the spice cabinet. I watched in curiosity as she took out garlic and onion powder, scrambling it into the eggs.

“Something I learned when I was little.” She said, adding in salt and pepper.

The blush was a clear indication that she was embarrassed. She put the toast in the toaster, and I just watched her in silence as she cooked our breakfast, but for the first time, it was a comfortable silence between us. When she sat down, I took a bite of the eggs hesitantly at first, and yet the addition seemed to make them taste better. Looking up, Alina was watching me. I gave her a small smile and a nod of approval, which instantly seemed to make her relax.

“You did well.” I told her, and she smiled at me. It was a small, hesitant smile, but it was a start, and I appreciated it.

“I think that since you did not run last night, we can allow you some more…” I trailed off, looking for the right word.

“Privileges.” I ended up saying, and she gave me a confused but eager look.

“You can take your meals out here with me, as a start. You can earn more privileges, but they can also be taken away. You can sit in the living room and enjoy the TV and books that I have. No, there is no phone line or internet, of course. I do not have to worry about you abusing that. However, you cannot go out the door without me accompanying you.” I said, and there was such light in her eyes and happiness brimming there that it was as if I had told her I was buying her the world. She nodded eagerly at me.

“Thank you, Master.” She said, needing no needling to get her to say the word this time. I smiled softly at her.

“Of course, privileges come with more responsibility. They can be taken away too. I don’t expect arguing from you. Punishments will be harsher if you do.” I said, and she nodded.

“Do you like cooking, Alina?” I asked, and she nodded a little, seemingly embarrassed over it.

“Why are you embarrassed?” I asked puzzled.

“Because it’s so old fashion…” She trialed off, refusing to meet my eyes. I pursed my lips, trying to keep my temper in check.

“It is good you like cooking. I’m proud of you, and I’d like you to cook more often.” I said. There is nothing wrong with women in the kitchen. I thought bitterly. Feminism has gone too far. I mused, but I had always known that Alina was no feminist. She needed a man like me.

Alina: New Routine, New Rules

I had never expected that this would happen. I knew that escape was impossible, and my thoughts of escaping were fewer and far in between. It was as if my old life was a dream, and I had eagerly thrown myself into the privileges that he had given me. I was cooking dinner a day later. He had given me free range to use his fully stocked fridge, and when he noticed that I didn’t have something I needed, he wrote it down. I hoped that it meant that he’d get it for me later.

He had locked me in my room early yesterday, and I knew he had gone somewhere. The house

was too quiet. As I waited for my pork chops to finish thawing, cutting the potatoes for dinner, he had come up behind me. His hands were on my breasts as he pulled me back against him. I moaned, closing my eyes as I tried to still.

“Yes, Master?” I said weakly, trying to hide my arousal. I knew there was no reason to though. Andrew always knew when I was wet. It was as if he knew more about me than I did, but that was a thought that I didn’t like to think too hard about.

“You say Master so easily now? I love when you call me it so willingly. You are mine, Alina, but you’re happier being mine now, aren’t you?” He whispered against my ear, saying all the things I tried not to think about. I couldn’t’ answer him. All I could do was swallow hard and try to control my thoughts. He didn’t seem to mind. I could feel his hardness through his pants as he pressed into me.

“I went shopping yesterday. I picked up a lot of spices. Some on the list, some I thought that you might like. Don’t feel like you have to use them all if you don’t want to.” He said, and I breathed a sigh of relief that quickly turned into a moan as he tweaked and pulled my nipples.

“Thank you, Master.” I said, biting my bottom lip as my stance waivered under his touch, continuing to cut the celery. I could feel his smile as he kissed my neck.

“Hmm. You are starting to get used to living here, but I have a new rule, Alina. New rules come with new things, of course. I’m giving you everything you want in this kitchen. You can make the grocery list within reason. You do want that, don’t you?” He asked, kissing down my neck and onto my shoulder.

“Yes…” I whispered. I had given up on cutting the vegetables. He smirked, sinking his teeth into my shoulder, and my knees grew weak as I groaned. I could feel myself getting wet. I had long stopped trying to fight my reactions, and my thighs began to get slick with my own juices as my eyes fluttered closed.

“You just have to do one thing, Alina, and we both know you really don’t have a choice anyways. Don’t argue.” He said, and before I knew it, Andrew had stepped away from me.

I felt the knife in my hand, and an image of stabbing him quickly ran through my head. I could see the blood pouring down from the wound, and I knew that the knife would slide in easily enough. It’s sharp. It’s no different than cutting apart chicken, I told myself. Before I knew it, my hand had tightened its grip, and I had run out of time. I was sure that Master had noticed, as his grip tightened on me.

“I wouldn’t do that if I were you.” He whispered in my ear.

His voice was cool and controlled, and there was a promise of retribution in that voice if I tried anything at all. I looked at the knife before taking a deep breath. My hand shook before I finally made myself put the knife down, turning around to face him. At the same time, I felt like I was giving up a part of myself, yet relieved to not have to fight alone in life anymore. I put on a smile, and his grip relaxed on me. He still watched me carefully, as if he was trying to read my sincerity.
