She laughs softly. “That is the worst word.” She traces her fingers over my lips. “But it’s so hot when you say it.”

I kiss her fingertips. “’Cause you know I’ll only say it to you when I’m deep inside your tight little cunt.”

Her lips curve and she tightens her muscles around me. “Ah, fuck.” I stop moving. “Don’t do that.”

She squeezes again. “Do what?”

“Keep it up, little witch. This isn’t gonna last much longer.”

Her grin is full of mischief. “Wait, am I your buttercup or a little witch?”

“When you’re trying to hex me with your pussy, you’re my little witch.” I grind my hips into her until her eyes roll back in her head. “How’s that, little witch?”

“Urgh.” Her nails dig into my ass, urging me on. I hammer into the one particular spot that seems to make her lose it.

Her whole body tightens, snapping my last bit of control. I drive into her harder and faster. White lightning streaks down my spine, as I empty myself inside her.

I groan with satisfaction, loud enough to rattle the damn windows. “Fuck.”

She grabs my face and pulls me toward her. Our mouths fuse in a chaotic storm of kissing, nipping, and licking.

When the ride’s over, I peel myself off her and roll to the side. “You all right?”

She touches her forehead and winces.

“Hey.” I sit up. “Are you okay?”

“Just a bit of a headache at the end.”

“Ah, shit.” I climb out of the bed. I knew better. Dammit.

“Gray, I’m fine,” she calls after me.

I stalk into the bathroom and flip on the water, wetting a washcloth and filling a glass.

“Here.” I hand her the water and help her sit on the edge of the bed.

She sucks down the contents of the glass and sighs. “Thanks. It’s not from you. They said I might get headaches.”

“Yeah, I’m sure being pounded into the mattress didn’t help.”

She chuckles and pushes the glass at me. “But the orgasms helped a lot. Haven’t you ever heard of sexual healing?”

“Lie back for me.”

With her eyes on my face, she leans on her elbows. “Why?”

I wag the washcloth at her. “I want to clean you up.”

“Oh.” She closes her eyes and rests her heels on the edge of the bed, opening for me.

Clean her up. What a lie. Like a sick fucker, I end up staring and watching my cum spill out of her, then run my fingers through her slit, pushing it back inside.

“Serena?” I rasp.

“Hmm?”

What would it take to get you off the pill?

No, can’t say that.

Not yet.

Need to be able to offer her a hell of a lot more than late night attacks in parking lots, small apartments, and a husband with a curfew.

Husband.

I need a ring.

Something big, but classy, with a lot of sparkle. I stare at her slender fingers, trying to picture a stack of diamonds wrapped around one—a promise that I’ll never let anything bad happen to her again.

She needs a property patch too. Whole world needs to know that fucking with her is a death sentence.

Jesus Christ, I can’t even wear my own cut in public right now, but I want to give her my patch?

I rest my chin on her knee, watching her face as I keep working my fingers in and out of her.

She gasps. “Are you cleaning me or making a bigger mess?”

“Little of both. Feel good?”

“Oh my God, yes.”

I gotta get off parole. Find the right house for us. Give her all the things she deserves before I ask her to have my kids.

I kiss her leg, feeling her tremble against my lips. “Think you can come again?

Already on the verge, she answers with soft, shuddering breaths.

I splay my big hand over her stomach, aching to see it rounded with my child.

Time. We’ve got time.

Well, she’s got time.

I sure as fuck ain’t gettin’ any younger.

Chapter Thirty-Nine

Serena

With four oversized bikers looming, I feel like the buttercup Grayson always calls me—surrounded by a ring of redwood trees.

“Back off,” Gray warns, as if he understands the claustrophobia threatening to choke off my air.

He’s been growly and snarly ever since Z tapped on our door and asked us to join the guys downstairs.

Well, growly with his brothers. Not me. He hasn’t strayed more than a few inches from my side.

“Easy, G,” Wrath rumbles. “We need to know what happened.”

“So we know who to kill,” Rock adds.

Finally, I pick up my head.

“Shit, Serena.” Z stares at my cheek under the bright fluorescent lights and stretches his arm as if he wants to examine the injury.

His dark blue gaze slips to Gray’s murderous expression and he backs off.

“Let’s get this over with,” Gray rumbles. “We’re wasting time not looking for this guy.”

“Teller got ahold of the police report,” Rock says. “Steer and Murphy went to see Loco. He’s got the description. Soon, everyone upstate will know we’re looking for him.”
