Cameron: When?

Lake: From the moment I saw his Happy Socks.

Cameron stuffed his phone away and helped Henry empty the last two boxes of books. They’d pooled their savings and moved into the cottage a week ago. Georgie was currently at the Manse with Alicia but would move in with them in a few months. They were taking their time christening their new space. Every room. Multiple times a day.

The cozy library featured a skylight and walls filled with their favorite stories and his mother’s precious books. They’d have to add more shelves in the future, but for now their literary refuge was perfect.

They even had the Tilney Library armchairs.

Cameron settled into the armchair he considered his, hood cushioning his nape. His legs were bare and his boxer briefs were lost behind one of the emptied boxes.

Gloriously naked, Henry moved about the room familiarizing himself with their new set-up. The gramophone he’d inherited perched on a stand. He slipped a record out of its shell, and soft music tinkered around the room.

With a grin, he slung himself into the opposite chair. “What are you thinking?”

That if he were the hero of his own book, he’d demand a dance.

Cameron stood. “Henry?”

“Yes?”

Stars reflected in Henry’s beautiful dark eyes. He smiled and held out his hand.
