We both glance at Saint and he rolls his eyes. Fed up with our teasing he strolls over to Ruby and some others. I know he's still watching me though because I can feel it.

“Are you any good?” Iceman bumps me again.

I shake my head. “No, I’ve never tried.”

That makes him laugh and he grabs my hand with his cold one pulling me to the ball return. He hands me a ball with a snowflake in it. The ball he picks up next has a huge snowman in it and my smile spreads wide.

My name flashes on the screen above our heads and he motions me forward. I go for it and throw the ball down the lane. Only four pins fall but I jump up and down excited that it worked on the first try. Everyone laughs at my reaction and begins cheering along.

We bowled for a few hours, taking turns and having a great time. The guys had no problem helping me learn how to throw a perfect strike. I didn’t mind them rubbing against me with each lesson either.

Don was still reversed when we started bowling. Technically, I don't think Donner sounds like a girl's name anyway. He seemed to like that statement a lot and started being nicer to me. I still don’t know why he was so upset but I apologized for the misunderstanding. That was after he did a quick strip tease showing off his brown firm body.

The twins had to leave and they took Saint with them. He had some important town business to attend to. I glance at the table covered in junk food and what’s left of the different Christmas themed mixed drinks.

“This was the tenth day of Christmas and that was a ten frame game of bowling we just played. Tomorrow we’ll play mini golf with nine holes." Iceman looks at his friend for confirmation. He hasn't removed his face covering but I can understand him better now.

“Yes, and it's fun. I think you’ll like it.” He smiles at me shyly. The man in the green suit’s name is Bud Elf. I did tease him a little about the name because of the Elf movie. He told me his real name is Hermey after his late father and that made me sad.

"Me too, I can’t wait." I tell him, then smile brightly at all the people gathered around us.

"Alright ladies and gentlemen, we are calling it a night." Ruby stands pulling me to my feet.

Thankfully, I'm not completely wasted and I can stand upright without falling tonight. "Bye guys see you around." I wave at everyone and they all smile waving back.

"Remember what we talked about Joy." Iceman calls out to me.

Before I can answer him Ruby pulls me out of the bowling alley. "Let's go gossip about all the guys. I'm sure you have questions." She grins mischievous at me and I nod loving that idea. We walk to the car leaning on each other.

"Sleepover!" The twin sisters scream together as they catch up behind us.

Chapter 4 - Snowman and Friends

Joy

"Joy…You didn't really say it was okay for Frost to come here this morning did you?"

I roll over and open one eye to look at the furious Ruby. "I don't know what happened." I admit honestly and cover my head with a pillow. I’m too old to drink this much nightly because my recovery time takes longer.

"Of course, she did. I didn't just show up here, Rudy." That voice makes me sit up in bed and look around pushing hair out of my eyes. He stares at me with bright blue eyes and a travel cup of coffee in his hands.

"You are my knight in shining armor and the hero of the whole kingdom." I praise the man with the liquid gold I love so much between his perfect hands.

Ruby groans, rolls her eyes and walks out of the room talking under her breath.

"Get dressed, but nothing fancy like your suits." He clears his throat when I tilt my head at him. "I'll meet you out front once you're done and you can have this." He shows me the coffee cup and then disappears out of the room.

I jump up and throw on a pair of jeans. On my way to the bathroom I grab a bra. I'm too old and big for the girls to go free. They need support at my age. I shut the door and do my business then brush my teeth after I throw on the bra. My hair gets put up in a messy bun that doesn’t look half bad for this time of morning. I'm grateful the twins let me borrow some real snow boots.

"You'll get sick without a sweatshirt. Here take this." Ruby hands me a green sweatshirt rubbing her eyes.

"Thanks," I give her a tight hug and open the front door. I gasp dramatically and look back at her. "It's still dark outside!" She just laughs then closes the door in my face. I can hear her curse on the other side when Iceman honks his ridiculously obnoxious horn.

"Come on Joyride!" He yells at me out his window over the loud engine.

Oh, I like that nickname!

Is that a snow plow? Okay this could be really awesome.
