Christian turns in his seat to look at me. “We are. This is our home.”

I’m confused, but when they don’t offer any kind of explanation, I just shrug and exit the car. I don’t realize how hungry I am until we walk inside and my stomach growls when I smell the food.

The four of us get a small table in the back of the diner in a shadowy corner, far away from the five other patrons. We sit so that my back is pressed against the wall, and I’m sandwiched between it and Michael. Josh and Christian sit directly in front of me.

Something is telling me that this arrangement was intentional.

“Hey, how’s it going?” A busty redheaded waitress slides some menus on the table, making sure Josh has a good view of her cleavage.

He doesn’t pay her any attention as he hands one to each of us. I smile, pleased that he isn’t interested in her.

Why do I care?

I shouldn’t care. But I do.

These men have already claimed me as theirs, so I suppose that means they’re mine now, too?

I flip open the menu before the waitress—Candi, her name tag says—can see my face.

“What can I get started for you all?” she asks. She’s looking around the table at each of them, perusing to see which one she wants to go home with tonight. She barely even glances in my direction, and when she does it’s because I’m clearly just an afterthought.

“I’d like a Coke with a wedge of lemon,” I tell her, barely glancing in her direction. She just rolls her eyes and writes it down on her notepad.

“And the rest of you?”

The three men—mymen—give each other a look.

“We’ll take what she’s having,” Christian tells the girl.

When she finally realizes they want nothing to do with her, she huffs out a breath and smacks her gum. “Four Cokes with lemon. Coming right up,” she says dryly. She storms away but makes sure to sway her hips as she does.

“She’s so desperate,” I grumble under my breath, crossing my arms over my chest.

Christian reaches over and runs the tip of his finger over the top of my hand absentmindedly. “You were jealous,” he says quietly, ignoring my question.

“I was not,” I snap, immediately feeling my face flame up.

The three of them laugh.

“Admit it, Brie. You’ve claimed us just as much as we’ve claimed you.”

I scoff. “Don’t be so full of yourselves.”

Michael leans in close and whispers in my ear, “Green is sexy on you.”

Did he just call me…sexy?

“You are.”

“What?”

He smirks. “I can see the uncertainty on your face. And yes, I think you’re sexy.”

“You’re beautiful,” Josh chimes in.

“Stunning,” adds Christian.

I point to the pimple on my chin and give them an incredulous look. “Even with this zit on my face?”
