"Enough!" he shouted.

Lyle rolled his eyes and pulled back a fraction of an inch, pissed at having to stop. Penny blinked like she'd forgotten anyone else was even there. The other bikers stood, shamelessly watching.

"There, witnesses and everything, to what a shameful act of adultery I just committed,” Penny practically croaked, trying to come down from her high. She seemed to suddenly realize she was exposed. She lightly pushed Lyle away, both of them, though, were hesitant, reluctant to part. She tucked her boobs back into her bra, pulled her shirt closed and did up the buttons. Lyle quietly whimpered.

“Fucking whore, Penny-” Rafferty spat.

“Fuck off, not a whore, never a whore for getting what she wants-” Ash immediately began.

“She can come on over and be a whore for me anytime she wants-” Lyle slurred.

Penny was back in business mode now though. "My lawyer's address is on the return envelope in that pack, I look forward to receiving your paperwork soon." She sniffed. The air in the cafe felt hot and heavy, the promise of sex still lingered. Still lingered over Penny. Her breath felt too shallow. Her body felt too hot and heavy.

Colt stepped forward. "Rafferty, you lost your woman. And this argument, too. Get back to work. Divorce your beautiful wife so Lyle can fuck her brains out. Get it done."

Penny realizedshe’d been staring into space, lost in thought, when a man entered the bar and the mood changed. The air crackled a little. People sat up straighter, people angled toward him and flicked their heads in greeting. He was good looking. He looked like an Italian film star, dark, thick hair pulled up into a top knot, bronzed skin and muscled physique. It was Colt. The Prez.

He looked around the room, clocking the respect and acknowledgement from everyone else, like he was royalty. It was unmistakable in the way he sauntered over to them. His eyes locked onto April and he smirked.

“Hey Kitten,” he purred when he was close enough.

April merely smiled back at him as she reached a hand up to his cheek. He put his hand around her waist, immediately intimate, drawing her off the bar stool a little. April brought his face to hers and kissed him. An immediate open mouth kiss. Penny almost felt she should look away. But the memory of kissing Lyle like that was fresh on her mind, and she couldn’t help but stare.

“Colt, all okay?” April said, once they finally came up for air.

“Fuck yeah,” Colt said, gripping her waist still, pushing his groin into her in an unmistakable erection graze.

April lightly swiped his shoulder. “No, I mean with the run, are the boys doing okay?”

Colt sighed and dipped his head onto April’s shoulder. “I mean, it’s fucked but they’ll be fine, they just have to drive an extra few hours and haul ass… it’s fine.”

Sophie spoke up now. “Colt, this is Penny. Do you remember? Formerly Mrs. Rafferty-”

Colt snapped his head up and gave Penny a penetrating stare. “I remember,” he said finally.

Penny tried to breathe.

“She’s here to see Nix. And Ash,” Sophie said neutrally enough.

Colt also didn’t blink, but his eyebrow flickered. “They are both held up. They’ll be back late. And when I say late, I mean basically early tomorrow morning. But stay, darling, have some drinks, enjoy yourself…” Colt’s concentration wavered back to April, as he shamelessly stared at her breasts, positioning himself now in front of her, in between her legs.

“I… thanks,” Penny said quietly.

Colt picked April up off the bar stool then. April let out a little squeal and smiled down at Colt. “Fuck, Kitten, you look so fucking hot. I gotta make you come…” Penny heard Colt mutter as he carried April out of the bar.

Penny felt a stab of jealousy and arousal. She wanted that. She wanted to be pregnant, and have a man worship her, carry her out to fuck, be so distracted by how he felt, body and soul, about her that he would stop mid conversation to tell her how he was feeling. To show her how he was feeling. What he would give her. What he would do for her.

She crossed her legs on her bar stool. She wanted a kiss like how Lyle had kissed her the other night. She wanted to be picked up off the bar stool like how Nix had the other night. She wanted to feel worshiped like Ash had the other night.

Sophie took a breath to speak but at that moment, something flashed past Penny’s vision.

Penny lost her breath. It was faster than fast.

And it thudded into the wooden bar. Right beside Sophie’s hand. In fact, into Sophie’s sleeve of her hoodie.

A knife. A black, handleless blade. Pinning Sophie’s hand into the bar.
