I definitely see the logic in that. Bryan and I sneak into the restrooms to change.

As I’m switching clothes, I briefly consider dressing up Theodore before ultimately deciding against it. Fortunately, enough people are carrying around gigantic teddy bears that he won’t stick out too much.

After I’m done, I wait for a few minutes so Bryan and I won’t come out of the restrooms at the same time. Even with new clothes, it’d be far more conspicuous if we walked out together.

Okay, Bryan texts me.You can come out now.

It takes me a moment to find Bryan because he’s now dressed in a very understated, all-black outfit that is the total opposite of the clown clothes he was wearing before. Meanwhile, I’m dressed in a bright red coat and blue pants. It doesn’t escape me that, either by coincidence or someone else’s amusement, Bryan and I have basically switched styles.

Bryan ends up carrying Theodore on his back on our way out of the park. The sight of them together is so cute that I pull out my phone to take a picture before I even think about what I’m doing.

At first, Bryan gives me a guarded glare, but slowly, he relaxes.

I’m about to say something when a shout of recognition comes from behind us.

“Welp, these disguises didn’t last long at all,” Bryan says before we break off into another run.

Seeing him jog with Theodore on his back is just too funny, and I snap quick photos of the dramatic facial expressions Bryan makes while we run.

I laugh, so much that my belly hurts and I almost trip over my own feet.

By the time we slip back into the van, I’m still smiling, feeling way more content than I thought I’d ever feel with Bryan.
