The first thing he did was kiss Grant and then he ran screaming out into the front yard of the hotel simply because he could.

Rebecca and Precipitation joined in on the screaming moments after, though the very first thing Precipitation did was rip off his dress. Three newly resurrected ghosts, one naked, then all had a wonderful time screaming out in front of the hotel. They danced in a circle until they had to collapse because they forgot that human bodies could be easily exhausted.

Grant had helped Huck get to his feet, and there were a lot more kisses.

Rebecca had insisted on standing on her own without assistance, although she was quick to finally kick off her one remaining heel.

Cary had offered his hands to Precipitation and then was promptly dragged down into the grass beside him. There was something said about Cary having promised to be his stack of meat earlier, and Precipitation did not let Cary get up. Grant had already been headed inside with Huck to continue celebrating, so he wasn’t sure at first what Cary and Precipitation were up to.

Cary was a gentleman and later wouldn’t say a word because he said that he didn’t like to kiss and tell.

Precipitation, however, told anyone and everyone who would listen.

Well, except for Mrs. Charles, of course.

She had declined Baus’s offer of resurrection, content to return to her clock-punching afterlife. She was now the only spirit left inside the Allan Hotel as even the shades had been released. Although not truly alive, their energy was finally free to move on, and the once haunted hotel was now home to only one member of the oxygen intolerant.

Precipitation’s first purchase as a living man was a bell to place on Mrs. Charles’s table in the Sapphire Dining Room.

Rebecca’s was a train ticket to Hollywood. She was on a mission to reclaim her old life as a movie star, and no one saw her again until she popped up on TV in a trailer for a new movie. It was a film about a famous starlet who’d been tragically murdered by her jealous assistant—the story of Rebecca Flynn, of course.

Precipitation chose to stay at the hotel, and Myrna graciously offered him the Rose Room as his personal residence. He was happy to help Myrna with the ghostly tours when he wasn’t busy with Cary. Things must have been going quite well for the two of them because Cary soon moved into the hotel to be with Precipitation.

After years of hunting ghosts, Cary said he’d finally caught one.

Finn’s relationship with Myrna was also getting quite serious, and he leased himself an apartment only a five minute drive from the hotel. According to Precipitation, the apartment was only for storage because Finn spent every night at the hotel with Myrna.

Bachata, Aurora, Mack, and the rest of the crew who witnessed the resurrections agreed that some miracles were best kept secret. They would not whisper a word of what had happened here, though they were eager to seek out new investigations once their time at the Allan was over. Aurora was particularly motivated to find other places with magical staircases and ancient Aztec spirits, and she spent her free time researching potential paranormal hot spots all over the world for their next season.

Finn and Cary reported to QuikTV that Janice had some sort of breakdown and took off. A new producer, a nice man named Steve Wilson, came to work with them to finish filming the rest of the season. He had no idea about the incredible happenings at the Hotel, although he was very impressed with the footage they’d caught so far. Obviously, the frequency of paranormal activity dropped off severely since most of the ghosts were no longer ghosts, but they were able to consistently capture Mrs. Charles ringing her new bell.

Filming concluded, and anything was cut that might draw too much attention to the very unique hotel. While they wanted both the new season of the series and the Allan to be successful, the general consensus was that too much attention might be detrimental—especially since one of their own happened to be a medium who very much wanted to continue living a low-profile life with his newly resurrected boyfriend.

Honestly, the hardest part was trying to figure out what to tell Huck’s parents.

No, scratch that.

The hardest part was having to figure out how to explain that someone who was dead was now very much alive and needed documents like a driver’s license and a birth certificate. Once it was safe for Huck to travel with his new identity, he and Grant headed to Georgia to see Huck’s parents.

It was a difficult reunion at first. Huck’s parents were naturally in shock, and Huck had agonized over what they were going to say. Grant had suggested going with the truth, and so they did. Huck’s parents weren’t entirely convinced until Mandy Mew Pants came out to say hi and immediately attached herself to Huck, crawling right up on his shoulder like she had when he was alive.

Well, alive the first time, anyway.

Huck’s parents were beyond ecstatic to have their son back, and they wouldn’t let Huck out of their sight for nearly a month. They adored Grant right away and thanked him profusely for his part in bringing their son back to life. They understood the importance of keeping Huck’s resurrection a secret, and they were more than happy to share the award from the wrongful death suit with him.

Ironic, Grant had thought, that the money from Huck’s death was now going to help him live.

And wow, was Huck ready.

Huck wanted to travel and see the whole country, and he wanted Grant by his side every step of the way—and yes, he agreed to call his parents at least twice a day to confirm he was still very much alive and well.

Mandy Mew Pants came along too, not about to let Huck out of her sight.

It wasn’t long after that Grant decided to leave theParanormal Probecrew. Cary and Finn were both talking about retiring from it as well, and Aurora and Bachata were more than eager to take the lead as the new hosts for the next season. Cary and Finn would keep up the podcast, and Grant agreed to help out from time to time, but he was confident he’d had enough of the spiritual world for a lifetime.

Everyone was blissfully happy, and Grant and Huck still went back to visit everyone at the Allan often. Huck wasn’t always too keen on staying there since he’d been trapped within those walls for so long, but having Mandy Mew Pants with him seemed to calm him. When Rebecca sent everyone tickets to her new movie premiere, Huck insisted on bringing Mandy along.

Rebecca agreed, but only if the cat wore a dress.
